Here’s a fantastic new deal on the Nokia 6220 classic 5 megapixel smartphone. Available online only and for this weekend only, line rental is now only £15 per month on 3 Mix & Match 300. You get 300 minutes or 300 texts per month, or any combination of minutes and texts.
The Nokia 6220 classic is a Symbian S60 smartphone with a top notch 5 megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss lens and a Xenon flash. Despite being packed with features and technology it’s also very easy to use. The keys are well spaced, the display is large – it looks like a regular phone, it’s a classic design and it works well.
With A-GPS geo-tagging your photographs are stamped, not only with the time and date, but also with their exact location. The Nokia 6220 classic comes loaded with the new Nokia Maps 2.0 application, helping you to find the best routes or explore any city for restaurants, attractions and other points of interest.
With 3G and HSDPA, images and videos taken with the Nokia 6220 classic can be uploaded to your blog or to a photo sharing site such as Flickr. They can also be viewed on your big screen TV using the phones TV out port. The camera features on this phone are right up there among the best. Picture quality is excellent and video can be recorded at 30 frames per second. The Nokia 6220 classic also has a decent web browser, email, an FM radio with RDS, a good media player and expandable memory up to 8GB.
The Nokia 6220 classic is a dark horse and a future classic. It won’t get the same attention as an Nseries and it lacks Wi-fi. Nevertheless, it’s brilliant and fantastic.

The HTC Touch Pro can now be pre-ordered in the UK as a SIM free handset.
The HTC Touch Pro is the big daddy to the HTC Touch Diamond and has been eagerly anticipated by the Windows Mobile smartphone community as it has everything the HTC Touch Diamond does as well as a full slide out Qwerty keyboard, larger battery and a memory card slot. The slide out QWERTY keyboard has 5 rows of keys to make light work of typing-intensive tasks like composing email or working on Microsoft Office® documents – perfect for when your day takes a serious turn.
The HTC Touch Pro was codename the HTC Raphael during development and will be known as the MDA Vario IV on the T Mobile network with other networks yet to confirm their names.
The HTC Touch Pro has a 2.8-inch VGA touch screen providing four times the resolution of most smart devices, making email, documents and web pages sharper and easier to work with than ever before.
HTC’s rich, touch-responsive interface, TouchFLO 3D, provides a stunningly intuitive way to zip through common tasks like messaging, calendar checks or making calls. Delve a little deeper to find that playing media files, searching for contacts and surfing the web are also responsive to your touch.
The web browser puts the full Internet in the palm of your hand. Websites look just like they do on a PC, and TouchFLO 3D makes it easy to pan around and zoom in on exactly the information you’re looking for. If you need a wide screen, simply tilt the Touch Pro sideways and the page switches to landscape view.
High speed connectivity will keep you in touch with colleagues and contacts wherever you are. Integrated GPS can be used with maps software for a full turn-by-turn satellite navigation experience.
Built-in Wi-Fi and TV-out functionality mean you can hook up to the local wireless hot spot to surf, then deliver the perfect PowerPoint® presentation without a laptop in sight.
The HTC Touch Pro isn’t as pocketable as the HTC Touch diamond due to it’s Qwerty keyboard but it’s dimensions (w x h x d): 51 x 102 x 18.05 millimetres , 2 x 4 x 0.7 inches and weight of 165 grams (battery included) still makes this handset the best all round Windows mobile device out currently, in our opinion.
The only other challenger could be the Sony Ericsson XPERIA X1 which is due to hit the UK sometime in September / October according to the latest reports…
